The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts has announced its honorees for the 15th Annual w3 Awards, which aims to recognize the most creative digital content creators working today, from established agencies and startups alike around the globe.
Project6 took home a Gold award this year, distinguished from the pool of 3,000+ entries for its work in creating a digital presence for California’s new early childhood health initiative ACEs Aware. Lead by California’s first Surgeon General Dr. Nadine Burke Harris and brought to life by Project6, ACEs Aware gives Medi-Cal providers the resources and training they need to screen children and adults for ACEs—or “Adverse Childhood Experiences”.
“Partnering with Surgeon General Dr. Nadine Burke Harris on this project was an incredible opportunity,” says Project6 Co-Founder and President Esten Sesto. “To be trusted to develop the branding, strategy, and web design of an initiative as important as this is something we took very seriously. It’s clear that ACEs Aware is a matter of public health that affects all Californians—and in fact, all people worldwide—and we’re honored to be part of the creation and identity of this landmark project.”
Far from Project6’s first brush with the Healthcare industry, ACEs Aware is part of a portfolio of esteemed health and well-being entities that Project6 has partnered with—indeed, Healthcare is one of their main areas of expertise. Other Healthcare clients have included the California Health Care Foundation, CalWellness Foundation, Community Health Group, The Center to Promote Healthcare Access, Integrated Healthcare Association, the California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative (CMQCC), and the John Muir Health Foundation, among others.
In addition to receiving a Gold award for this design, Project6 also took home a Silver award for its best website design for The Hertz Foundation, a nonprofit that provides lifetime funding to an elite class of graduate students pursuing education and advancement in the fields of science and technology.
These honors join the ten other w3 awards received by Project6, dating back to 2011. Now entering its 19th year in business, the award-winning design firm is poised to take on its most exciting projects yet.
About the w3 Awards
The w3 Awards honor creative excellence on the web, and recognize the people behind award-winning sites, marketing programs, social content, mobile site/apps and online video. In honoring the best of the Web, the w3 Awards is the first major web competition to be accessible to the biggest agencies, the smallest firms, and everyone in between. Small firms are as likely to win as Fortune 500 companies and international agencies. Having just finished its fifteenth season, the w3 Awards received over 3,000 entries from Advertising agencies, PR Firms, Digital Agencies, In-house creative professionals, Web Designers, and Graphic Designers.
