England is set to enter a month-long lockdown in a bid to stem the spread of a second wave of the pandemic.
The tougher national measures will see those living in England confined to their homes unless they have specific reasons to go outside, the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced in a televised press conference on 31 October.
The measures, which must first be approved by UK parliamentarians, will come into effect across England from 00.01 on 5 November and will remain in place until 00.01 on 2 December.
