The federal republic of Nigeria has reached an agreement with Niger Republic on the issue of fuel importation.
Nigeria which is currently being faced by shortage of fuel, is in serious search for people who will be able to supply them from the excess of their products.
Niger Republic which is a neighbouring country to Nigeria, produces 20,000 barrel of oil per day. In the real sense, Niger actually needs and can satisfy her citizens with 5,000 barrels per day, leaving her with an excess 15,000 barrels per day.
This information was revealed to the general public by Garba Deen, the group general manager/special adviser on media to the minister of state for petroleum resources.
According to Mr Garba, a bilateral agreement was reached by both the president of the federal republic of Nigeria, and that of the the republic of Niger.
According to the statement released, the republic of Niger has an excess of 15,000 barrel of oil daily, while Nigeria on the other hand has a market where those excess products can be sold, making it a win win situation for everyone.
Adding to the statement, this could be an avenue to deepen the relationship between the republic of Niger and the federal republic of Nigeria, which can also help for future relationship and trades.
