Despite winning the World Cup, Jorge Vilda was fired today, following the controversy over Rubiales’ kiss.
The Spanish Football Federation announced, this Tuesday, that Montse Tomé is the new women’s football selector.
Montse Tomé, aged 41, is the first woman to hold the position and succeeds Jorge Vilda who was fired, also this Tuesday, following the controversial Rubiales case.
The new selector will debut in the role on the 22nd, when Spain begins its participation in the newly created Nations League against Sweden, at home.
