Back in those days do we have to renew our data plan each time it finishes to remain online, regardless of what we may be doing when it finished. However, in order to help people in stranded or taut situations, most mobile networks have come up with services that allow their users borrow data and pay later whenever they can.
One of those networks that have such service is Airtel, and I’ll be talking you through the procedure you need follow to borrow data if or whenever you need to.
Above is a short video illustration on how to borrow data or MB from Airtel. Alternatively, read on if you rather prefer a written procedure.
How to borrow data or MB from Airtel
To borrow data or MB from Airtel, do the following:
- On your mobile phone, dial *500#
- Choose option 3 for Borrow Data
- Choose the amount of MB you’d like to borrow from the options.
10MB goes for #50, 50MB for #100, and 200MB for #200.
Terms and Conditions & How to Be Eligible to Borrow Data on Airtel
- Your line must be registered and actively used.
- You need to be an active subscriber on Airtel for at least 3months (or 90days).
- You need to be regularly loading airtime on your Airtel line.
- You must not have an unpaid Extra Credit airtime. You must settle the first before applying again.
- 15% service charge will be deducted.
Conclusion
Although Airtel Extra Credit service may not be able to borrow you much data, it is, however, a brilliant substitute in taut situations.
If you’re unable to borrow data from Airtel, it is mostly because you’re not eligible yet. Make sure your line is registered, over 3 months since you’ve been using it, and continue keeping it active. You should be eligible to borrow data in little time.
