Responsibilities:
Lead and transform the Case Management Department by developing strategies and programs that enhance patient care and optimize resource utilization.
Spearhead the implementation and oversight of care facilitation, utilization management, discharge planning, and case management initiatives.
Mentor, guide, and supervise a talented team of Case Managers and Social Workers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements through meticulous documentation and quality control measures.
Collaborate with key stakeholders like the Chief Financial Officer and Quality Department to drive quality improvement and data analysis initiatives.
Conduct daily Multidisciplinary Rounds to facilitate cohesive patient care planning and address complex care needs effectively.
Engage actively in committees such as the Utilization Review Committee and Revenue Recycle Committee to promote financial and operational efficiency.
Oversee the recruitment, performance evaluation, and development of department staff to ensure a high-performing team.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven leadership skills in healthcare settings, particularly in case management or related fields.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of improving patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with medical staff and manage teams.
Experience in regulatory compliance and a deep understanding of healthcare laws and standards.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred; must be a graduate of a registered nursing program.
Valid RN license in the state of Iowa or a multistate license applicable in Iowa.
Certifications in Iowa Mandatory Reporter – Child and Dependent Adult Abuse.
