In December 15, the international AUTOBEST jury announced that CATL’s Shenxing battery won the TECHNOBEST 2024 award following the vote of jury members from 31 European nations. This is the first time that a battery product has won the TECHNOBEST award, and CATL is the first China-based company to win this title.
AUTOBEST is one of the most prestigious automotive juries in Europe and has been awarding prizes since 2001. The jury rewarded the Shenxing battery for its breakthrough innovation: “CATL has launched Shenxing, the first LFP 4C battery with ultra-fast charging in the world, capable of offering a range of 400 km with a 10-minute charge, as well as a range of more than 700 km with a single full charge. Shenxing is expected to greatly alleviate electric vehicle users’ concerns about charging speed and usher in the era of ultra-fast charging of electric vehicles. Focusing on the nature of electrochemistry itself, CATL continues to innovate in materials, electrochemistry and overall system structure to achieve ultra-fast charging, high energy density and at a high level of security, all in a creative way. Shenxing is pushing the boundaries of LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) chemistry performance, paving the way for innovation in the battery industry. »
“CATL, led by founder Robin Zeng, is a phenomenon in the battery industry, with many revolutionary technologies. The latest, Shenxing, is another revolution proposed by CATL for the benefit of customers around the world who will benefit from a much faster recharge time, better energy density and a high level of security. said Dan Vardie, founder and president of AUTOBEST. »
The Shenxing battery was launched in August this year and will reach mass production by the end of the year. To date, CATL has established cooperation with various OEMs to provide Shenxing battery, including NETA, CHERY, BAIC BJEV, JIDU, VOYAH, and others. Electric vehicles equipped with the Shenxing battery will be available on the market in the first quarter of 2024.
