• The Oldest person on earth (Tanaka) dies at 119

Kane Tanaka was born on January 2, 1903.

    She was Japanese.

She was certified the oldest person on earth.

She woke up at 6am every day, and loved immersing herself in a variety of gaming, and learning activities.

When the Guinness World Records discovered her in 2019 as the oldest person alive, they asked her which moment in her lifetime is the happiest for her. She told them “Now.”

Tanaka wanted to join the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 but she couldn’t because of the pandemic.

It is so sad that she will be missed during this year’s Respect for the Aged Day event in Japan, a country reputed to have the world’s most elderly population.
