This is the lightest ThinkPad clamshell notebook, which gets a new processor and an improved webcam. Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 Nano is easy to carry around. With its 13-inch display, fast processor, and a weight of just about 2 pounds, almost anyone can move around with it.

The 2023 model is dubbed Gen 3, but it’s not all that different from last year’s. To prove that, you can see that it sports a 13th Generation Intel Core (Raptor Lake) processor. This makes it in some ways the little brother to the 14-inch Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11.

The X1 Nano is very easy to carry, measuring 0.57 by 11.5 by 8.2 inches (HWD), and weighing 2.1 pounds.

The model boasts 2160 by 1350 LCD display, with the common 16:10 ratio, which is sharper than most lightweight notebooks. It has the familiar matte black casing, and distinctive keyboard common in the ThinkPad line.

How this X1 Nano model differs

There’s a lot of differences in this year’s model in the processor. It comes as Intel Core i7-1360P, with 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD.

2023 X1 Nano scores is a tard better than last year’s on several fronts. Also, it is in some ways seen to be having something with this year’s X1 Carbon—slightly slower on some things, slightly faster on others.

Otherwise, the machine is very similar to last year’s. The display is very nice, and the model I had included a touch screen, which I do find very handy on laptops.

The biggest drawback to the Nano is that there are not many ports. The right side has two USB-C/Thunderbolt ports and a mic/headset jack. The left side just has a power button and some vents. You won’t find USB-A port, nor an HDMI port, or even a locking slot.
