Check Out What Led To The Unforgettable World War 1 And 2

The first world war was fought from 1914 to 1918. The assassination of Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand on 28 June 1914 set off a chain of events that led to the war in early August 1914.

Franz Ferdinand was the nephew of Emperor Franz Josef and heir to the throne of Austria-Hungary, he was killed by a Serbian terrorist group known as the Black Hand.

After his assassination, many countries had clashes with themselves which eventually led to world war I. What made the war inevitable was the Defence Alliances that existed between some countries. What this means is that if one country goes into war, other countries will have to fight with them because of the agreement that was signed.

Over 9 million military men lost their lives in the first world war which was fought by the Central Powers and the Allied Nations.

Germany formally surrendered on the 11th of November 1918. Due to the loss on both sides, the Central Powers and Allied Nations signed the Treaty of Versailles which formally ended the war.

Even though the first world war ended after a treaty of Versailles was signed, some countries were still in conflict, this was what set the stage for another International war known as World War ll.

After Adolf Hitler rose to power in a politically and economically unstable Germany, he wanted more power. During that time, Adolf Hitler signed strategic treaties with Italy and Japan to further his ambitions of world domination.

World War ll started after Hitler and his soldiers invaded Poland, which made Great Britain and France declare war on Germany in September 1939.
