Landlocked countries are countries with no access to international water bodies, they are often bordered on both sides by other countries. Landlocked countries have always been perceived to be at a disadvantage which affect their economic growth with international relationships but such notions is rapidly changing as these three Landlocked countries below have not only progress rapidly but doing very well compared to other African nations that are not Landlocked.

1 Botswana
Botswana is a landlocked country located in southern Africa. It is one of the world fastest growing economy and the country with the least foreign debts. Botswana is the world’s largest producer of diamonds and their economy is dominated by mining, tourism and agriculture. The mining industry account for about 40 percent of the government revenue, the tourism sector is also a major boost to the country economy because of the vast national parks and forest reserves located in the country which house different exotic wild life.
2 Rwanda.
This is another beautiful landlocked country doing absolutely well for themselves. Rwanda often refer as the land of a thousand hills is the cleanest country in Africa. Coffee and tea is their major cash crop export and tourism is a fast growing sector and now the country leading foreign exchange earner.
3 Ethiopia
Ethiopia is another landlocked country in the horn of Africa with Addis Ababa a bustling city as its capital. Ethiopia is Africa second biggest maize producer although its major export is coffee. Their other export commodities include gold and leather products. They airline is also one of the most recognised in Africa.
Even without crude oil and being landlocked these countries have transformed more than other Africa nations with access to water bodies which have stalled economically, regressed and indebted to a near breaking point. These landlocked countries also have low crime rates and there is low level of corruption among its citizens and their hospitality is top notch.
