Professors share €26m windfall as drugs firm they founded four years ago sold for €380m

Professors Luke O’Neill and Matt Cooper will share a windfall of up to €26m following the sale of the healthcare business they co-founded just four years ago.

Inflazome develops drugs that block harmful inflammation, with potential use in the treatment of illnesses including Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and motor neurone disease.

Now the Dublin-based biotech firm Inflazome has been bought by Swiss healthcare giant Roche for €380m.
