Tensions in the northern Ethiopian region of Tigray escalated Friday with reports the Ethiopian Air Force bombed military facilities there.
According to Reuters, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said the strikes destroyed arms depots and other military hardware. Abiy’s remarks were broadcast on state-affiliated Fana television.
