A popular online payment system known as Stripe has announced that will now start partnering with merchants who want to pay others using cryptocurrency. The payment will be done through the stablecoin USDC.
Just yesterday, Twitter started allowing a number of creators to receive their earnings in crypto.
Stripe dropped its use of Bitcoin four years ago but now appears to be showing more interest in digital currencies in 2022.
Twitter is the first move for Stripe but that also means more large companies will soon follow through, using crypto payment methods.
This is coming at a time when major cryptocurrencies were falling worldwide. Bitcoin traded at around $39k this week while it traded at $69 last November.
